Perotech presents our lab animal cages designed and built in North America. We represent Alternative Design & Animal Care Systems and ParkBIO who have joined up to provide the most comprehensive array of mice cages, rodent & Lab animal environments and primate housing. Also offered is an extensive array of surgery and decon isolators. If you don’t see it here on these pages, no problem, with extensive stainless steel and polypropylene shops they’ll make it!
Primate Group Housing
Non-Human Primate Group Housing Unit
Primates think up so going vertical is only natural. Primates are also social climbers.
Alternative Design worked with a leading animal research facility on the East Coast to test and develop one of the first non-human primate group housing products in the United States. Our unit was designed specifically to meet European Open Housing Guidelines.
The Nonhuman Primate Group Housing Unit from Alternative Design is designed to meet European style open housing guidelines including the Council of Europe (ETS No. 123) Guidelines and the new ILAR Guide Housing for Primates.
Made from all 304 stainless steel construction, the standard panel selection includes:
- Balcony – allows animals to see down hallways and aisles
- Door latch pin
- Treat door – allows placement of treats or toys into the enclosure without staff entering or disrupting the animals
- Removable panels allow for optional socialization
- Perch or bench – allows use of vertical space and a pathway to the balcony
- Holding cages – up to 4 per pen
- Top wire mesh opens for access to room light fixtures

Non-Human Primate Enrichment Center Unit

Alternative Design worked with a leading animal research facility on the East Coast to test and develop its non-human primate units. Our units are designed specifically to meet European Open Housing Guidelines.
Standard features include:
- Made from 304 stainless steel construction
- 4-section design
- Each section has casters so sections can be separated for transport and cleaning
- Each section has 2 locking brakes
- Center section has perches and benches at various levels
- Artificial turf for foraging as well as foraging trays and feeders
- Removable excreta pans under each section
- Center is approximately 51 sq. ft., 4.74 m2 with a total of 338 cubic feet, 9.57 m3

Non-Human Primate Quad Unit
