PULSE OXIMETER SOFTWARE PRODUCTS
STANDARD SOFTWARE MODULE
The Standard Software is included with all MouseOx Plus systems and is intended for basic monitoring applications, it provides Heart Rate, Saturation (Sp02), Breath Rate, Breath Distension and Pulse Distension.
PREMIUM SOFTWARE MODULE
The Premium Software now includes Temperature and MRI monitoring (purchase of respective sensors required). It offers trending charts, real time recording options, file markers for noting important events, and a quick averaging diagnostic feature for spot-checking.
CONSCIOUS SOFTWARE MODULE
The Conscious Applications Software includes enhanced filters and control algorithms which optimize the MouseOx® Plus for use on conscious, moving subjects.
PULSE OXIMETER SENSORS
The MouseOx Plus has multiple sensors available to monitor or record measurements on both conscious and anesthetized mice, rats and other small animals.
- Record & Monitor Both Anesthetized & Conscious Subjects
- Choose Best Sensor Location According To Application
- MRI Compatible Senor Available
- Obtain Several Physiological Parameters With A Single Sensor
MOUSE THIGH SENSOR
The Mouse Thigh Sensor is used with the MouseOx Plus for obtaining vital sign measurements from an anesthetized mice by providing a strong signal from femoral artery.
MOUSE PAW SENSOR
The Mouse Paw Sensor is used for obtaining vital sign measurements from the paw of anesthetized mice. The sensor can be used to obtain measurements from a mouse tail.
THROAT SENSOR
The Throat Sensor is used with the MouseOx Plus for obtaining vital sign measurements from an anesthetized animal in the supine position by obtaining a strong signal from the carotid arteries.
RAT FOOT SENSOR
The Rat Foot Sensor is used with the MouseOx Plus for obtaining vital sign measurements from an anesthetized rat’s foot.
COLLAR SENSOR
The Collar Sensor is used with the MouseOx Plus for obtaining vital sign measurements from a Concious or Anesthetized animal in the prone position by obtaining a strong signal from the carotid arteries.
TEMPERATURE SENSOR
The MouseOx Plus can measure Mouse or Rat core body temperature with the addition of the Rectal Temperature Sensor and Temperature Software.
MULTIPLEXERS
Our Multiplexer extends the function of the MouseOx Plus by allowing monitoring and recording of data from 8 to 16 subjects connected to a single MouseOx.
- Monitor & Record up to 16 Subjects with a MouseOx Plus
- Automatic, Scheduled & Manual Switching Options
- Summary Screen
The Multiplexer is a sensor Switching Unit for MouseOx Plus® that allows a single MouseOx Plus® to monitor and record data from up to 16 subjects. The Multiplexer allows you to choose between automatic, scheduled, or manual switching.
BENEFITS OF THE MULTIPLEXER
MEASURE & RECORD UP TO 16 SUBJECTS
With two model options, you can record up to 8 or 16 subjects
AUTOMATIC & MANUAL SWITCHING
Retain the control that you need with automatic, scheduled, and manual switching options.
SUMMARY SCREEN
The Summary Screen shows data from all subjects being monitored through the Multiplexer.
MULTIPLEXER 8
The Multiplexer 8 allows you to monitor and record data from up to 8 subjects, using one MouseOx Plus® control unit.
MULTIPLEXER 8 WITH TEMPERATURE
The Multiplexer 8 with Temperature allows you to monitor and record the data, including temperature, from a single MouseOx Plus® control when using the Temperature probe and Software Module.
MULTIPLEXER 16
The Multiplexer 16 allows you to monitor and record data from up to 16 subjects, using one MouseOx Plus® control unit.
Vital signs monitoring is required for veterinary and large animal surgeries in order to ensure the best surgical outcome, but is just as important in small animal surgeries. Starr Life Sciences Corp provides equipment which enables the monitoring and recording of vital signs for small and large animals, providing a means to ensure subjects stay within normal physiological parameters.
Vital signs monitoring of the cardiopulmonary system reflects not only the health of the animal but the depth of anesthesia. Historical methods for small animals include reflex monitoring, which is crude and not always appropriate; for instance, the use of paralytics invalidates the toe pinch method. Traditional vital signs include blood pressure (invasive or non-invasive), end-tidal carbon dioxide (ETCO2), arterial blood oxygen saturation (SpO2), ECG, heart rate, respiration rate and temperature. Combining the vital signs monitors with data acquisition adds a new level of data preservation and analytics that any lab can appreciate.
ANALOG DATA OUTPUT MODULE PLUS
The STARR-Link Analog Output Module provides 0-5 Volt analog outputs of the parameters measured by the MouseOx. It serves as an interface between the MouseOx and other data acquisition hardware.
