Vivus Technologies Rack & Cage Washer
Vivus automatic washers ensure effective, reliable cleaning with high throughput and efficiency. Designed for clean rinsing, detergent solution washing and drying of cages, racked utensils, transport carts and bottles used in the vivarium.
Swing out, manually operated, side hinged doors are standard with the unit. Made of double pane safety tempered glass, the doors provide an unobstructed view of the of the interior chamber, while promoting a convenient and aseptic flow of goods.
Limit switches included at each door, wired to the automatic control system.
Removable floors grate sections are standard to provide a level walking and rolling surface to facilitate loading and unloading of materials, as well as offering drainage to the pump.
Two lamps mounted on top of the unit fully illuminate the chamber.
To prevent loads from contacting the reciprocating spray manifolds, fixed guardrails run the length of the chamber.
Emergency stop buttons with audible and visual alarms are located at all door zones to terminate all processing functions.

Tunnel Washer
These hydro-spray washers 
are automatic, with a heavy duty conveyor design that makes it efficient for continuous high volume processing. The washer can be installed freestanding or recessed through one or two walls, and is a floor mounted unit. This washer cleans and dries plastic or metal cages, racked watering bottles, and utensils.
Safety switches are equipped on all service access doors. If the doors are opened during operation of the machine, or they aren’t securely closed, all operation is suspended immediately and the operator screen then displays an alarm message.
The unit can be used in combination with a bedding dispenser or integrated bedding dump station, or just as a standalone washer. If the cap for the self flushing debris strainer is missing, or is installed incorrectly, the operator is notified via an alarm message on the control panel and the machine will not begin operation.

Cabinet Cage and Bottle Washer
Standalone, automatic, heavy duty cage and bottle washer that provides effective and reliable cleaning with high throughtput and efficiency. Each model is designed for detergent solution washing and clean rinsing of bottles, cages, and racked utensils used in animal science and research facilities.
The rising, guillotine style doors are double insulated, with a safety switch and viewing window. Pass through operation is an option with these models, but single entry is standard. Optional door interlocks allow only one door to be open at a time to maintain integrity of the barrier wall. Limit switches are at each door location, and are wired with the automatic control system.
Double pane safety tempered glass offers excellent sound and heat abatement, as well as providing a large port for viewing inside the chamber.
A sturdy, multipurpose load grid permits direct placement of large articles at a convenient 32″ ergonomic load height.
A lamp on top of the unit fully illuminates the chamber through a safety glass upper window.
Provided at all external doors are emergency stop buttons with audio and visual alarms to immediately terminate all processing functions.

Misting Tunnel
ViraTek Decontamination Misting Tunnels are designed to provide complete coverage of any product conveyed through the work opening. Misting tunnels are self-contained and portable to move easily within a facility. Four stainless-steel casters, with locking brakes, allow smooth transfer throughout the facility. If desired, the misting tunnel can be locked into place in a specific location and can be used with an optional pass-through door for dirty/clean room settings. If utilizing the optional pass-through door, the entire misting tunnel is situated on the dirty side of the pass-through door, and an off-load conveyor attaches to the pass-through door on the clean side where the pass-through door can be closed when the misting tunnel is not in use.
As the product moves through the misting tunnel, spray nozzles are strategically located above, below, and on both sides of the product to ensure 100% sanitization coverage. Spray nozzles are complete with 200 mesh filter screens that are easily removable for maintenance, cleaning, or replacement. The nozzles have a capacity of .018gpm and are provided with a needle valve for optimum performance. At the end of the spray pipe, there is a shutoff that can be opened to flush the pipe in case of debris blockage. A creased, single drain pan increases the efficiency of drainage back to the reservoir with a filter screen to prevent debris from entering the drain.

Bedding Dispenser
The Vivus Tunnel Type Bedding Dispenser ensures reliable, effective dispensing of animal bedding after processing in a tunnel washer.
The unit is initially filled by dumping bedding into the side storage hopper. To fill cages, the dispenser is operated with a tunnel washer and as the cage passes through the filling chamber, bedding is dispensed into the cages. Levels can be adjusted by varying the speed of the transfer belt. After the cages exit from the unit, they are manually unloaded.
The Bedding Dispenser is specifically designed for use in research at animal care laboratories and facilities to automatically dispense dry, chip-type, free-flowing, and solid bedding into animal cages.
The Vivus VBD series units automatically dispense bedding into animal cages. Model VBD42 dispenses bedding into cages simultaneously when the cage is conveyed through the filling chamber. The dispensed bedding volume is adjustable to accommodate various depths and sizes of cages. The dispensers accommodate a large variety of bedding types from multiple manufacturers.
Typical characteristics of bedding that are easily dispensed are small hardwood chips including:

- Paper-Type
Other bedding types may also be dispensed in the dispensers but may require additional options or equipment modifications. Please consult the factory to ensure your bedding will perform well in the VBD series dispensers.
